Scott Rideout isn’t riding out into the sunset. The Sparks, Nevada truck driver is riding high because he is a valued professional with Reddaway.
In just a little more than nine years with Reddaway, Rideout has logged more than 900,000 miles without an accident.
Rideout at the National Truck Driving Championships
Rideout has represented Reddaway in state and national truck driving competitions. National Truck Driving Competitions are hosted by the American Trucking Association. For more than 75 years, the National Truck Driving Competition tests the safety skills of professional drivers.
Rideout competed in the “twins” category.
The competitions test a driver’s skills behind the wheel as well as their knowledge of safety rules and regulations, and the ability to spot safety hazards during pre-trip inspections.
“The Reddaway drivers who qualified for the National Truck Driving Competition have proven themselves to be among the nation’s most professional and safest drivers,” said TJ O’Connor, Reddaway president. “We encourage all of our drivers to use driving competitions to sharpen their safety skills.”
Reddaway is Dedicated to Safety
O’Connor praised the dedication of Reddaway’s drivers who are in pursuit of safety.
“The dedication of our drivers to safety is the reason Reddaway leads the industry in next-day transit, damage-free deliveries, and on-time performance,” said Connor.
Reddaway, founded in Oregon City, Oregon, operates several regional service centers in Canada, Alaska, and Hawaii.
